Oklahoma Collaborative Care Project is a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded to the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) to increase access to behavioral health services through the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) in primary care settings. The five-year project (September 2025 through September 2029) provides approximately $900,000 annually for a total of $4.5 million. The program implements an evidence-based integrated care approach in which a primary care team, behavioral health case manager, consulting psychiatrist, and other mental health professionals deliver coordinated mental health and substance use disorder treatment. ODMHSAS partners with at least nine primary care sites, beginning with three sites in Tulsa and surrounding areas serving historically underserved populations in year one, expanding to Oklahoma City and rural practices in subsequent years.
