Call for Proposals: Cisco Research | Office of Research Call for Proposals: Cisco Research Cisco Research is accepting applications for its funding programs to support a wide variety of research areas, such as AI/ML, computer vision, cybersecurity, NLP, quantum information processing, networking and distributed systems.

Rolling submissions are now open for: Enhancing Factuality and Reasoning in Generative AI Models LLM-Based Autonomous Agents and Agentic Systems Quantum-resistant cryptography and security Quantum networks for distributed quantum computing and distributed quantum sensing Harnessing Quantum Networking to Enhance Classical Applications Semiconductor Reliability Intent-Based Networking for the Enterprise Investigate Media over QUIC for interactive and streaming media delivery Cisco continuously updates their research focus and areas for strategic interest with this ongoing list on their site.

The Applicant and Principal Investigator listed on a proposal must each be a full-time faculty or research staff member at a university or other research institution. Students, adjunct faculty, or part-time faculty/staff may participate in the research and be listed on the proposal but may not be a Principal Investigator.

If a PI is approved for funding, Cisco Research will only fund a PI one proposal at a time and you will not be eligible to resubmit another proposal request until your funding has ended and your impact report is completed.
