The City created the City of the Arts Grant program to provide operating funds to eligible organizations that contribute to the vibrant cultural opportunities that serve the diverse citizens of the St. Pete community.
In alignment with Mayor Welch’s Pillars for Progress that focus on arts and culture, as well as education and youth opportunities, the Grant supports established organizations and fosters new or emerging artistic expressions and intentional inclusivity throughout St. Pete.
Current Status: Applications Closed Applicants must fulfill the following criteria: Be registered with the Florida Secretary of State as a non-profit organization. Be a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization whose primary mission is arts or culture programming. Be in existence and provide services to the residents of the City for at least one year.
Have no outstanding debts to the City of St Petersburg. The organization must be located in St. Petersburg AND provide more than 50% of its arts/cultural programming within the City St.
Pete, for the benefit of St. Pete residents and its visitors, OR have a history, science or children’s museum that provides on-going arts/culture programming, performances or exhibitions for the benefit of St. Pete residents and its visitors.
