City of Toronto Skills Development Grants: Technology is sponsored by City of Toronto. Supports initiatives that build practical skills aligned with labour gaps in creative industry sectors.

To support growth in these creative industries, through the Action Plan for Toronto’s Culture , the City of Toronto offers grants and sponsorships that make pathways to employment more accessible, expand business opportunities for creative entrepreneurs and showcase Toronto’s industries to engage residents, visitors and the world. Choose the creative industry sector below that best aligns with your initiative.

Applications are considered for cross-sectoral projects with relevance to the other sectors but only apply once to the most relevant stream for your initiative. Ensure the language in the application highlights how the project applies across sectors. Find funding focused on supporting film, television and other screen sectors initiatives.

Applications received after the deadline are not normally considered. Exceptions may be made only in extenuating circumstances and at the discretion of the relevant sector office. Eligible Project Start Dates January 1 to June 30 (of the following year)
