Classroom Grant Program (Founder's Grants & IMPACT Grants) is sponsored by Oregon Schools Foundation. The Oregon Schools Foundation (OSF) Grant program provides opportunities for teachers and students to learn in new environments, experience creative teaching methods, and facilitate social and academic out-of-school experiences for students who need enrichment and support.

Priority is given to collaborative proposals focusing on district educational initiatives.

Grants - Oregon Schools Foundation Oregon Schools Foundation The Oregon Schools Foundation (OSF) Grant program provides opportunities for teachers and students to learn in new environments, experience creative teaching methods, and facilitate social and academic out of school experiences for students who need enrichment and support.

Grants are accepted for amounts up to $5,000 , with priority given to collaborative proposals which focus on district educational initiatives. *Annual Budget based on Spending Policy Formula- approx. $12-20,000/yr.

*Who Can Apply: OCFT, OAPSE, Admin *Applications accepted Jan-March 2026; Deadline March 15, 2026. *Annual Budget limited to donor gift capacity- approx. > $20,000/yr.

*Who Can Apply: OCFT, OAPSE, Admin, Teams/Clubs *Applications accepted year-round. IMPACT Grant approval periods will be multiple times per year. Usually Sep 15, Nov 15, Feb 15.

*Shorter time frames, more often per school year. Grant recipients will have a 12-month period for program implementation. We encourage applicants to use all funds by the end of the current 2025-26 school year if possible.

Grant Application Review: Each grant application will be reviewed by the OSF Grant committee which is comprised of community members and OSF Board members. No quotas will be set by school, grade or subject matter and each application will be evaluated individually and on its own merits, subject to meeting the grant application criteria. Final decision on grant funding will be made by the OSF Grant Committee.

The selection process will commence on the Grant Committee meeting date, following the application deadline. Applicants will be notified of the approved Classroom Grants after the OSF Board meeting accepts the committee's recommendations. To support creative program ideas that will enhance student learning, encourage creativity in the classroom, reward imaginative teaching and enrich educational experience in Oregon City Schools.

Types of Grants We Like to Fund: Classroom Projects aimed at improving student performance in a classroom setting that enrich and enhance the learning experience including collaboration with other teachers, parents, etc. at a particular grade level School collaboration projects aimed at connecting various grade levels or an entire school in a program or project Programs that take students out of the normal classroom setting (i.e. outdoor activities, activities that allow students to apply learning to real world experiences) Projects that combine school curriculum with activities that partner with the community Programs specifically designed for at risk students Programs that encourage differentiated instruction Prior Grants may be repeated Instructional materials that can have ongoing use are preferred as to disposable/one-time items.

Stipends to pay OCS teachers for summer/extra work District required textbooks Costs to bring in a staff development expert Workshop or professional development fees that do not directly relate to students and classroom project Portions of another larger grant Projects that are intended to create a non-profit or for-profit venture Reimbursement for previously incurred expenses ​ Projects that cannot be implemented within one year Projects written by anyone other than Oregon City School District teachers, staff and students Projects that have not been approved by a department head and or school principal Awardees Follow-Up Responsibility: It is the expectation of the grant committee that awardees will complete an evaluation form at the end of the grant period.

Also, the grantees may be requested to communicate the grant outcomes to other teachers in their school and in their grade across the district.
