Utah Clean Fleet Program - Utah Department of Environmental Quality The Utah Division of Air Quality provides incentives for public and private fleet owners to decrease vehicle emissions, which are the main cause of air pollution along Utah’s Wasatch Front. We have funds for fleets to get new electric vehicles (EVs) and equipment or to replace older Class 5-8 diesel vehicles and equipment with cleaner alternatives.
Looking to upgrade your diesel fleet or try electric? Fleet owners can be reimbursed up to 90% of costs, depending on the vehicle’s operational criteria, new vehicle/equipment fuel type, and participation in scrapping an older diesel vehicle/equipment.
Electric vehicles & equipment Fleet owners can be reimbursed up to 90% of the cost for new: Light-duty passenger vehicles Class 5-8 trucks and step vans Equipment operating at Salt Lake City Intermodal Terminal Fleet owners can be reimbursed up to 100% of the cost for new: Level 2 electric vehicle chargers Many of our funding sources combine EVs and chargers together. Cleaner fuel vehicles & equipment Fleet owners can be reimbursed up to 55% of the cost for new diesel, CARB Low-NOx, or CNG: Class 5-8 trucks, buses; and <50 – 751+ horsepower nonroad engines or equipment used in: Handling of cargo (including at a port or airport); Energy Production (including stationary generators and pumps).
Fill out the pre-approval application, and we will match your project to the best funding source you are eligible for. Once pre-approved, submit remaining documentation about your project, per instructions we provide at the time of pre-approval. Upon approval, purchase your new vehicle/equipment, and if applicable, scrap the old vehicle within 90 days of putting the new one into service.
Submit your final paid invoices, proof of payment, and new vehicle documentation to receive your funding.

Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) Grant Program is a grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs that funds the acquisition and development of public parkland and outdoor recreational facilities. Northern California Environmental Grassroots Fund is a grant from Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment that funds small and emerging grassroots organizations in California building climate resilience and advancing environmental justice. The fund prioritizes groups rooted in historically marginalized communities, including BIPOC, frontline, and low-income populations, with strong advocacy, organizing, and outreach components. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations or fiscally-sponsored groups with annual income or expenses of $150,000 or less; government agencies, colleges, and universities are not eligible. On June 11, 2026, U.S. District Judge Richard Gergel ruled that the EPA's February 2025 termination of the $2.8 billion Environmental and Climate Justice Block Grant Program — created by Section 60201 of the Inflation Reduction Act — was arbitrary, capricious, and unlawful. The ruling voids the termination but does not order the EPA to resume the program, leaving the September 30, 2026 statutory deadline as the binding constraint. For the 116 grantees and the coalition of nonprofits, cities, and tribal partners that were already in award negotiations, the next 105 days will determine whether the program survives in any operational form or migrates entirely to the Court of Federal Claims as a damages action.
