Clean heavy-duty off-road equipment | Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Clean heavy-duty off-road equipment This grant program reflects our commitment to achieve substantial emissions reductions by replacing older, more polluting diesel-powered vehicles and equipment with newer, cleaner technology that uses a variety of fuel types.
Tier 4 engines are the cleanest diesel engines available today, and meet EPA's strictest emissions standards. Combined funding with the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) grants program expands our emissions reductions work. Approximately $3.
2 million was made available for 2025 between Volkswagen and federal DERA funds. A total of 17 projects received grant funds.
