Funding availability is subject to change. Funding comes to the Washington State parks boating program from a competitive federal grant managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service . Project evaluation is a competitive process based on a of set scoring criteria.
Applications are reviewed and scored by a panel of evaluators representing state agencies, the boating and marina community and State parks. Project scores are tabulated and compiled into a ranked list. State parks staff will present the final ranked list with recommendations to the agency director, who makes the final decision on funded projects.
The CVA Grant Program provides grants for publicly accessible Marine Sewage Disposal Facilities, that are for recreational boats only. Projects typically funded include construction, renovation or the ongoing operation and maintenance costs of public pumpouts, dump stations, floating restrooms and pumpout boats. Cities, towns, counties and State agencies.
Public, private and tribal owned boating facility operators. Special purpose districts, such as ports and public utility districts. Tribal governments.
