The Comprehensive Climate Action Plan The Washington Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP) is now available. Download the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (PDF) This plan was developed by the Washington State Departments of Commerce and Ecology, with extensive input from tribes, communities, workers, businesses, subject matter experts and others.

The plan provides a comprehensive assessment of where the state is today and outlines pathways to meet required greenhouse gas reduction limits through 2050.

Analysis of all significant sources and sinks of greenhouse gases in Washington Existing and recommended greenhouse gas reduction strategies across all economic sectors Explanations of the benefits/impacts of recommended actions for Washington state, with a focus on overburdened communities Analysis of workforce needs and job trends View the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (PDF) Status Report and Update – Due Summer 2027 Updates on all CCAP analysis Status of GHG reduction measures Status of benefits analysis Next steps for key metrics moving forward Washington was awarded $3 million for Phase 1 on June 30, 2023.

The Seattle/Tacoma/Bellevue Metropolitan Statistical Area was awarded $ 1 million to support climate planning for King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Additionally, EPA Region 10 received 22 Tribal CPRG planning grants. The Washington state departments of Commerce and Ecology received financial support from the EPA under an Assistance Agreement.
