Our mission is to work alongside local community leadership, adult training centers, village community centers, and public schools in the Middle Hills region of the Nepali Himalayas (population of 8. 4 million) to lift families and thereby children out of a cycle of hopelessness, fear, and despair.

Our vision is to see transformed, united, and empowered communities throughout the Himalayas filled with freedom and joy that overflows south to the Nepali Lowlands and into India and north to the Tibetan Plateau and into China.

CHI focuses in the Himalayan region of Nepal, where: Almost half of the people live in absolute poverty (defined as making less than 60 cents per day) Many are oppressed by a horrific caste system causing family discrimination at the detriment of their children Child mortality rates are among the highest in the world due to poor sanitation CHI focuses in the Himalayan region of Nepal, where: Almost half of the people live in absolute poverty (defined as making less than 60 cents per day) Many are oppressed by a horrific caste system causing family discrimination at the detriment of their children Child mortality rates are among the highest in the world due to poor sanitation 40% of all children ages 5 to 14 are entrapped in child labor and human trafficking schemes Over half of all teenage girls remain illiterate, with many facing child marriage, violence, abuse, and discrimination A cycle of hopelessness, fear, and despair has remained for thousands of years.

Examples of the impact you can make are as follows: $10 provides a child with a warm winter coat $30 provides a child with a uniform and school supplies to attend school for one year $500 provides a village with awareness programs such as human trafficking, child abuse and sanitation $1,200 trains a teacher/social worker at a 10-month residential training center $3,600 supports a team of two village teachers for one year $50,000 can build a school to change a village forever.

Our pledge to you is 100% of your giving goes to those in the most need – all of your contributions go to Nepal! None of your contribution goes toward G&A or salaries of any kind outside of Nepal – all services in the United States are voluntary!
