CMF — Regional Production Funding is sponsored by Canada Media Fund (CMF). Regional Production Funding supports linear content projects across Canada. It aims to support Canadian content creation.

Regional Production Funding | Canada Media Fund Regional Production Funding Due to high demand for the English Regional Production Bonus (ERPB) , the CMF will no longer be accepting applications for this program until its Second Opening Date, on September 17, 2026.

*Please note that the related cap (15% of the overall ERPB Program budget) for In-house and Broadcaster-Affiliated Applicants and Applicants who are Related Parties to the Eligible Canadian Distributor who is providing an Eligible Distribution Advance has already been met and applications from these Applicants will not be accepted for the Second Opening Date.

* Due to high demand for the Quebec French Regional Production Incentive (QFRPI) , the CMF will no longer be accepting applications for this program. Beginning in 2026-2027 , the Linear Content Programs – Core Production Guidelines have been eliminated.

For most Linear Content Production Programs, the Broadcaster Envelope Program (Production) – English and French and/or the Distributor Envelope Program will serve as the main sets of Guidelines for project funding. Applicants may choose to opt for interim financing, which involves assigning payments under the financing agreement to a bank as security. If you intend to access interim financing, complete the Notice and Direction form and forward it to your business analyst. If you are in Quebec, you will also have to forward a copy of the hypothec to your business analyst.
