Our f unding areas focus on a broad range of issues includ ing animal care and welfare, arts and culture, civic engagement, education, environment, and health and human services, alongside support for the Latino, LGBTQ+, and Veterans communities.

Grant opportunities listed below include those that are upcoming, open, or closed in this calendar year. Grant cycles repeat yearly. Please note the application deadlines, as well as links to specific application guidelines.

Community Foundation Boulder County does not accept unsolicited requests for funding, letters of interest, or proposals outside of the grant application periods. Description 15 Forever was established by Community Foundation Boulder County in 2006 to promote civic engagement, philanthropy, and leadership among Boulder County youth.

Funds 2026 15 Forever Fund Application Period Mar 16, 2026 — Description Community Trust is a grantmaking fund of Community Foundation Boulder County addressing needs throughout Boulder County in the following areas: animal care and welfare, arts and culture, civic engagement, education, environment, and health and human services.

Funds 2026 Community Trust Application Period Apr 1, 2026 — Description Collaboration Grants support Boulder County nonprofits and fiscally sponsored projects in assessing the feasibility of or establishing collaborations that strengthen capacity and result in more efficient use of resources to assist nonprofits in meeting their mission and responding to community needs.

Funds Resilience Fund: Collaboration Grants Request for Proposals Application Period Jun 4, 2026 — Description The BRAVO Fund aims to improve the quality of life for Latino communities throughout Boulder County. Funds 2026 Equity Funds: BRAVO Fund Application Period Aug 3, 2026 — Description The Open Door Fund supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning (LGBTQ+) individuals and allies in Boulder County.

Funds 2026 Equity Funds: Open Door Fund Application Period Aug 3, 2026 — Description The Veterans Fund supports Boulder County Veterans and their families by raising money and distributing grants to community partners to create, sustain, or expand programs and projects for Veterans.

Funds 2026 Equity Funds: Veterans Fund Application Period Aug 3, 2026 — How to apply for funding through CFBC Eligible applicants include IRS 501(c)(3) public charities, governmental, or public entities. Private non-operating foundations are not eligible. Groups or organizations without IRS 501(c)(3) designation may apply with a fiscal sponsor.

Grantees must use grant proceeds only for the stated purpose of the grant or for charitable and educational activities consistent with the organization’s tax-exempt status. Grants from the community foundation’s discretionary funds are exclusively for activities or projects in Boulder County and/or for the benefit of people in Boulder County.

The community foundation does not make grants to organizations where grant money from our discretionary or field of interest funds would be used to further a particular religious doctrine.
