College Connection & Youth Ministry – Ohio District LCMS College Connection & Youth Ministry College Connection and Youth Ministry Grant Program Overview The Ohio District LCMS and the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) are partnering to equip God’s people to create opportunities and build meaningful relationships through College Connection and Youth Ministry Grants, each in the amount of $1,000.
The College Connection Grant program was established to help congregations and campus ministries keep college students connected to Jesus Christ during their college years. Funds may be used to support Bible studies, meals such as dinners or coffee gatherings, ministry events, or care packages for students who are away at school.
These efforts remind students that their home congregations care for them and are continually praying for them. The Youth Ministry Grant program supports LCMS youth ministry development and engagement, with the goal of strengthening faith formation among children, youth, and families.
These funds may be used for LCMS National or District youth retreats, servant events, and outreach programs, as well as leadership training, resources, or curriculum needed to support faith development. Congregations, schools, and other approved entities of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) within the Ohio District are eligible to apply for grant funding of up to $1,000 per calendar year.
Applicants must submit a completed Grant Application Form, which is subject to review and approval. Upon disbursement and use of funds, recipients are required to submit a follow-up report summarizing how the grant was utilized. This report must include supporting materials such as photographs and videos documenting the impact of the funded activities.
