Colorado Apprenticeship Incentive (CAI) Grant - Arapahoe/Douglas Works! The Colorado Apprenticeship Hub at Arapahoe/Douglas Works! is pleased to announce the recipients of the Colorado Apprenticeship Incentive (CAI) Grant.
Through a competitive review process, 23 organizations across Colorado have been selected for grants totaling $3 million in federal funding to develop and expand Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) and high-quality pre-apprenticeship programs.
Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Apprenticeship Building America, Round 2 (ABA2) initiative, the CAI Grant supports employer-driven apprenticeship strategies that prioritize broad access, sustainable program design, and pathways to quality jobs with family-supporting wages.
Each awardee will be paired with a Colorado Apprenticeship Hub Consultant to support program development, implementation, and long-term sustainability throughout the grant performance period (February 7, 2026 – December 31, 2027).
High-Quality Pre-Apprenticeship Development & Expansion High-quality pre-apprenticeship programs prepare participants to enter Registered Apprenticeship Programs and are designed in alignment with federal high-quality pre-apprenticeship components . Funded programs are built in collaboration with RAP sponsors and include hands-on training, pathways to industry-recognized credentials, and connections to supportive services.

Consulting and Management Services Denver Joint Electrical Apprenticeship and Training Pueblo Electrical Joint Apprenticeship & Training Trust Fund Victory Project-Based Academics & Competency Registered Apprenticeship Program Development The following organizations have been selected for CAI Grant funding to develop and register new Registered Apprenticeship Programs with Apprenticeship Colorado or the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship.
Colorado Apprenticeship Hub Consultants will provide tailored guidance and technical assistance throughout the process.
Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Colorado Mountain College Emily Griffith Technical College Northwest Colorado Innovation Center Portercare Adventist Health System Registered Apprenticeship Program Expansion The following organizations have been selected for CAI Grant funding to expand existing Registered Apprenticeship Programs by adding new industries, occupations, or employer partnerships.

and operates under the direction of the Arapahoe/Douglas Workforce Development Board, the direct recipient of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Apprenticeship Building America, Round 2 (ABA2) grant. ABA2 works to modernize, diversify, and expand the Registered Apprenticeship system in growing industries across the country.

The Colorado Apprenticeship Hub’s regional Apprenticeship Consultants work with organizations across the state — at no cost — to develop and expand Registered Apprenticeship Programs and high-quality pre-apprenticeship programs, regardless of grant funding status. This workforce product was funded by a grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration. The Colorado Apprenticeship Hub is federally funded with $6,000,000 through the U.S. Department of Labor; the CAI Grant represents 50% of ABA2 funding, with individual awards up to $150,000.
