See list of other organizations that may have funds available for this grant by CLICK HERE Colorado VFW Foundation Grant Last Updated: 15 October 2025 The Colorado Veterans of Foreign Wars Foundation Assistance Fund is established to provide financial assistance to worthy Colorado Veterans of the United States Armed forces, who ARE VFW DEPARTMENT OF COLORADO POST MEMBERS OR VFW DEPARTMENT OF COLORADO AUXILIARY MEMBERS , who have insufficient financial resources to meet a critical or emergency need for shelter, utilities, and/or health care.
To file for assistance, please fill out the Grant Application Form. Applications are processed on a first come first serve basis. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Applicant MUST be a VFW Department of CO Member or a VFW Department of CO Auxiliary Member Receipts MUST accompany grant application - acceptable receipts include: Treatments such as chemo, radiation, surgical, or any other medical procedure concerning cancer treatments Blood work, including transfusions, platelet infusions, or any other procedure concerning blood Travel receipts will be accepted in the form of fuel receipts only To file for assistance, please fill out the Grant Application Form.

Colorado VFW Katy Rimpley Service Animal Assistance Fund Last Updated: 22 August 2025 The Colorado Veterans of Foreign Wars Katy Rimpley Service Animal Assistance Fund was established to assist VFW MEMBERS OR AUXILIARY MEMBERS to assist with out-of-pocket expenses for pet insurance, veterinary appointments/treatments/inoculations and pet food.
Service Animals, as defined by ADA (the Americans with Disabilities Act), as any bread and size dog, individually trained to do work or perform tasks directly related to a person's disability.
A person with a disability is someone who: Has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities Has a history or record of impairment (such as cancer that is in remission) OR Is perceived by others as having such an impairment (such as a person who has scars from a severe burn) Applicant MUST be a VFW Department of CO Member or a VFW Department of CO Auxiliary Member Receipts MUST accompany grant application - acceptable receipts include: Receipt(s) from insurance company for annual pet insurance premium Receipt(s) from veterinary office(s) for appointments/treatments/inoculations To file for assistance, please fill out the Grant Application Form.
