DEPARTMENT OF WAR - CONGRESSIONALLY DIRECTED MEDICAL RESEARCH PROGRAMS Transforming Health Care through Innovative and Impactful Research Vision – To increase survivability and readiness of the Warfighter Mission – Develop innovative high-impact solutions to increase medical readiness, diagnose and treat life threatening injuries, reduce morbidity and mortality, and promote positive long-term outcomes for the Warfighter »Click on Image to View Program Summary Sheet The United States Congress has directed the Department of Defense to implement a focused line effort for Combat Readiness Medical Research in FY19 with an appropriation of $15 million (M).
The Combat Readiness--Medical Research Program (CRRP) will be established as a program of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). The CDMRP's CRRP focuses on research relating to foward-deployable solutions that can promptly address life threatening injuries and medical diagnostics, threats, and treatments, and medical threats and treatments for Service members in battlefield settings.
