Lebanon Businesses Enhance Downtown Locations Utilizing the Commercial Façade Improvement Grant The City of Lebanon Commercial Façade Improvement Grant is a 1:1 matching grant of up to $10,000 to assist existing businesses with funding façade and exterior restoration improvements, such as storefront renovations, door and window replacements, masonry restoration and other qualifying projects.
This year, the Commercial Façade Improvement Grant was awarded to two local businesses, allowing them to enhance their buildings while preserving Lebanon’s historic charm. The Harmon Museum was awarded a $10,000 grant to help restore and enhance the facility’s historic exterior.
The work included restoring and repairing the Museum’s front pillared entrance, sections of the brick exterior and the Armstrong Conference Center’s cupola on the roof. These updates not only help to preserve the architectural history of the building but keep the Museum durable for generations to come. Estate Alley Group was awarded a $10,000 grant to update the exterior of its North Sycamore Street building.
This grant supported the rebuilding of a damaged brick wall, adding a new stone retaining wall, installing new steps and handrails, and refreshing the front entry with a new door and canopy. These changes improved the safety and accessibility of the building while helping to create a more welcoming downtown experience for clients and visitors.
