Commercial Vehicle Pilots Program Funded Projects | CVP BC Commercial Vehicle Pilots Program Funded Projects To date, the Province has contributed funding to 25 projects through the Commercial Vehicles Pilots (CVP) program. In total 103 of vehicles have or will be funded for a total Commercial Vehicle Pilot Program contribution of $ 45,246,442. 72.

Below are some examples of projects that have been funded under Funding Calls 1 to 4.

Although projects like the ones listed below may be considered for funding in future Funding Calls, the Program is however encouraging applications that are: Deploying on-road class 3 and 5 vehicles; or Deploying locomotives, marine vessels, aircraft, and off-road vehicles or equipment; or Located in the Nechako and Northeast economic regions of British Columbia.

Seaspan Ferries Corporation Seaspan Ferries Corporation will procure two battery powered trucks for ferry cargo loading and unloading operations. The project also includes installation of a dedicated charging system and modifications of electrical infrastructure on-site. Provincial funding: $172,076 .

53 from CVP Canadian National Railway CN Rail will deploy two battery electric Class 8 drayage trucks for operation in Vancouver. Provincial funding: $343,145 . 33 from CVP The City of Vancouver will replace a 20-year old rear loading refuse truck and two aerial trucks with one battery electric Class 8 refuse truck and two battery electric Class 7 aerial lift trucks.

The project includes two Level 2 chargers. Provincial funding: $857,040 . 20 from CVP The City of Victoria is replacing a diesel fueled fire truck with an all-electric fire engine.

The project includes a portable 25kW charger. Provincial funding: $577,25 1. 67 from CVP 7 Generation Capital Corp. with Second Closet Incorporated 7 Generation will purchase one DC Fast Charger to support five Class 6 battery electric trucks performing delivery services around the Greater Vancouver region.

Provincial funding: $173,976 . 13 from CVP DP World will retrofit a mobile (rubber-tired gantry) crane operating at the Port of Vancouver by replacing its diesel engine with a hydrogen fuel cell and a lithium-ion battery energy storage system. Provincial funding: $510,679 .

00 from CVP Hydrogen Technology and Energy Corporation (HTEC) HTEC will deploy four zero-emission fuel cell yard trucks, that will be fueled at a new containerized hydrogen fueling station. Provincial funding: $2,535,933 . 00 from CVP Gat Leedm Logistic Ltd. and Port of Prince Rupert Gat Leedm Logistic Ltd. will be procuring three battery electric Class 8 trucks for moving containers between Ridley Island and the Port of Prince Rupert.

The project includes the installation of two charging stations. Provincial funding: $914,323 . 33 from CVP Canadian National Railway CN Rail will be replacing one diesel locomotive with a hybrid locomotive alongside two charging stations placed in Prince George and Chetwynd.

Provincial funding: $3,230,533 . 33 from CVP Seaforth Environmental Limited Seaforth Environmental Service Ltd. will build an electric tugboat to be stationed at their terminal in Burnaby. The project includes two charging stations.

Provincial funding: $747,83 4. 56 from CVP Teck Coal will purchase two electric coach buses and develop electrical infrastructure to support two Level 3 DC fast chargers. The buses will be used to transport workers between Fernie, Sparwood and their job site in the East Kootenays.

Provincial funding: $954,583 . 33 from CVP Diversified Transportation Diversified Transportation is procuring ten battery electric school buses for operation within the Prince George school district. The project will also include ten charging stations.

Provincial funding: $1,126,38 3. 75 from CVP Golden Spruce nurseries is replacing a diesel wheel loader with an electric one to move soil, pallets, large plants and load/unload vehicles onsite in Langley. The project includes one DC 30kW charger.

Provincial funding: $105,039. 94 from CVP Seaspan Ferries intends to retrofit and replace batteries on two roll-on/roll-off hybrid ferries operating between Delta and Surrey, and Vancouver Island. The project will also install shore power and three charging stations.

Provincial funding: $2,723,98 1. 67 from CVP Rowing British Columbia will procure six outboard motors for pilot testing by select clubs. The project will include the installation of three dedicated power outlets at docks.

Provincial funding: $90,098 . 00 from CVP West Fraser Mills Ltd. is replacing its conventional fossil fuel powered forklifts with three electric forklifts for operation at multiple sites within the Cariboo economic region. The project will include three charging stations.

Provincial funding: $250,702 . 11 from CVP The City of Vernon is converting two propane-powered ice resurfacers to electric-power ones. The project will include two charging stations.

Provincial funding: $37,66 4. 67 from CVP Purolator will purchase 13 cargo vans to electrify a part of its fleet at its Richmond site. The project includes purchase of 13 Level 2 chargers and one Level 3 portable charger.

Provincial funding: $648,577. 67 from CVP SAAM Towage will be replacing two diesel powered tugboats with two electric tugboats at the Port of Vancouver. The project includes installation of a new substation and two 1500kW charging stations.

Provincial funding: $8,591,873. 76 from CVP Lynch Bus Lines will replace 26 diesel school buses with battery electric variants. The vehicles will be used to provide chartering and corporate transport services as well as taking school children to and from school.

The project also includes 26 DC fast chargers. Provincial funding: $2,605,511. 93 from CVP West Coast Sightseeing Ltd West Coast Sightseeing Ltd will purchase 15 all-electric Type D buses to service its Hop-On, Hop-Off routes in the Downtown Vancouver area.

The project includes 15 chargers and installation of energy infrastructure at the Port of Vancouver. Provincial funding: $2,631,352. 45 from CVP Teck Metals will be replacing one of its diesel trucks with a new electric flat deck truck that will transport materials along industrial mountain roads near Trail.

The project includes one charger and one charging station. Provincial funding: $187,339. 33 from CVP Sealand Flight Ltd. will purchase one electric aircraft for the development of an electric flight training program.

The project will include 3 charging stations installed at airports in and around the Sunshine Coast. Provincial funding: $160,316. 67 from CVP British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. British Columbia Ferry Services Inc. will purchase two Island Class battery electric roll-on/roll-off passenger ferries for the transportation of passengers and vehicles between Campbell River and Quadra Island.

The project includes significant shore power upgrades to support the installation of 2 high-powered charging stations. Provincial funding: $15,145,830. 67 from CVP elibird aero inc. will purchase two all-electric aircraft for flight training and local sightseeing flights out of the Boundary Bay airport.
