State offfice of Grants and Research accepting applications for Nonprofit Security Grant Program | News | massnonprofit. org You have permission to edit this article. The Office of Grants and Research is now accepting applications for the FFY26 Nonprofit Security Grant Program .
This program provides federal funding for target hardening and other physical security enhancements to nonprofit organizations that are at high-risk of terrorist attack. Organizations that applied for funds under the FFY25 program are eligible to apply for funding through this year's program. Please see specific guidance for FFY25 applicants in the Availability of Grant Funds (AGF) packet.
Only Massachusetts nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that are at risk of a terror or other extremist attack are eligible for this funding opportunity. Application Deadline: July 10, 2026, 4:00pm OGR recognizes that this deadline offers a brief application period. This timeline is necessitated by the deadline by which OGR must submit all applications to FEMA for review.
The Office of Grants and Research (OGR) promotes public safety and security in Massachusetts communities through the management of grants funds and research programs focused on crime prevention and intervention, traffic safety, law enforcement and homeland security initiatives. OGR manages more than $279 million in state and federal grants that are distributed to state, municipal, tribal and nonprofit agencies across the Commonwealth.
