**Sage Creek High School** Sage Creek High School hosted its 10th Annual ARTFEST on Thursday, April 2, showcasing creativity across their campus through visual art, music, theater, dance and interactive live art experiences. The event featured two City of Carlsbad Community Arts Grant recipients: Sage Creek High School Drama and the Sage Creek High School Dance Department.
Sage Creek Drama Department presented a short preview of their upcoming spring show “Disney’s Descendants Jr.,” which will be held on May 7 and 8 in the Performing Arts Center. Attendees were treated to popular songs such as “Evil Like Me,” and “Be Our Guest.
” The Sage Creek Dance Department presented an exciting lineup of performances featuring Dance 2, Dance 3 and the Bobcat Cubs—a Genius Project led by Dance Company Captain Maile Kotol, in which elementary‑aged students learn choreography in a workshop and then perform alongside the Sage Creek Dance Company. Their Spring Dance Show will take place on May 14 and 15 in the Sage Creek High School Performing Arts Center.

Jerome Early-Career Project Grants is a grant from Forecast Public Art, funded by the Jerome Foundation, that funds the creation of new public art projects by early-career artists based in Minnesota. Two grants of $8,000 each are awarded annually to support temporary or permanent public artworks anywhere in Minnesota.
