8, Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito and Technology Services and Security Secretary Curt Wood announced the launch of a new, synthesized online portal to provide information on state resources and grant opportunities available to municipalities. The Connector offers services such as a municipal grant finder, technical assistance finder and a grants calendar.
The municipal grants and technical assistance finders provide a central source of information for cities and towns, regardless of state agency management. Areas of support include community development, emergency management and planning, environmental resources and more. Municipal leaders may use the tool to submit questions and comments directly to the Community Compact Connector.
The Connector will also provide resources including new fiscal budgets, cherry sheets and announcements. The Connector is designed to support the Community Compact Cabinet , formed in January 2015 and chaired by Lt. Gov. Polito.
The Community Compact Cabinet elevates the administration’s partnerships with cities and towns and champions municipal interests across all executive secretariats and agencies. It also develops, in consultation with cities and towns, mutual standards and best practices for both the state and municipalities. To view the new tool, visit www.
