We also provide a number of scholarships. For 501(c)(3) organizations that support health and human services, education, culture and arts, civic and community, and environment and recreation causes. Community contributions range from support for capital fund drives to sponsorship of nonprofit fundraising events to non-cash donations like awarding retired company vehicles to emergency-response organizations.

Employee Community Funds is an employee-led program where employees and retirees donate their own funds toward local charitable causes. These contributions help local non-profits, employees, and those in our communities experiencing hardships or short-term needs. IDACORP matches much of these contributions so the impacts can go even further.
If you’re an agency that would like to apply for funding, complete one of the following online forms: Continued Funding Application Once an agency is approved for funding, they may re-apply every two years to be considered for continued funding. We donate retired fleet vehicles to tax-funded city, county, or state organizations or 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.
Availability of vehicles changes year to year, and we do not donate passenger cars, vehicles with aerial lifts, or off-road vehicles (e.g., ATVs, UTVs, etc). Apply to be added to our vehicle donation waitlist. For students applying to higher-education programs.
Higher education builds strong communities.
That’s why we’re proud to offer the following scholarships: Scholarship for Academic Excellence Fourteen $2,500 scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors who live in Idaho Power’s service area and plan to enroll full-time in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics, business, or communications program at an accredited Idaho or Oregon two- or four-year college or university. Applicants must have a minimum 3.

Whittier and Larry R. Wimer Memorial Scholarship Fund Two $1,000 scholarships are available to Idaho residents who are graduating high school and plan to enroll in an engineering program at an accredited Idaho college, or college students of any level enrolling in a natural resources program at an accredited Idaho college. The submission deadline is March 1, 2027.
Application requirements and access to the form can be found on the website beginning Jan. 1, 2027. Idaho Power Technical Scholarship Two $2,500 scholarships are available to support students who live in Idaho Power’s service area and plan to enroll in an accredited Idaho technical school program to learn a skilled trade (e.g., linework, electric power, mechanical, welding, applied technology, etc.).
Applicants must have a minimum 2. 75 GPA or a GED certificate. The submission deadline is March 1, 2027.
Application requirements and access to the form can be found on the website beginning Jan. 1, 2027. All scholarship awards are granted on a one-time basis for the school year directly following the award, are not renewable, and may not be deferred or held for later use.
