Community Crisis Response Fund

Community Crisis Response Fund is sponsored by Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County. This fund provides flexible financial assistance to Anne Arundel County nonprofits immediately following a violent incident, natural disaster, or other crisis in the community.

It aims to support critical and evolving needs of the county's residents, including projects designed to improve systems for food security, violence prevention, medical care access, childcare, and education.

Community Crisis Response Fund | Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County Community Crisis Response Fund Community Crisis Response Fund Providing Immediate Support to Anne Arundel County in Times of Crisis The Community Crisis Response Fund was established in 2018 by CFAAC’s Board of Trustees to provide flexible financial assistance to Anne Arundel County nonprofits immediately following a violent incident, natural disaster, or other crisis in our community.

Since its inception, the fund has been activated twice, most recently in 2020, allowing us to swiftly accept charitable contributions and distribute grants to combat the COVID-19 crisis. In response to the pandemic, CFAAC disbursed nearly 300 rapid-response grants, totaling more than $1. 7 million, benefiting 134 unique nonprofits.

These grants have supported initiatives addressing food security, basic human needs, and housing insecurity and homelessness. While we’re not currently accepting funding applications, we remain vigilant and urge you to consider contributing to this vital resource. Your donation ensures we’re equipped to swiftly aid our community in times of crisis, standing ready to provide immediate assistance and support.
