Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Economic Development Program (Louisiana) is sponsored by Louisiana Office of Community Development. This program provides CDBG funding to Louisiana communities for infrastructure improvements that facilitate business startup and expansion, helping to create and retain permanent jobs and strengthen local economies.

Supports demolition and clearance activities to eliminate blight and revitalize distressed areas. Economic Development Program Provides grants to eligible recipients for infrastructure improvements that assist for-profit businesses. Examples include sewer, water and street or road access on public property to private industrial or business site boundaries.

Make a Difference Program Offers flexible grants for non-entitlement local governments to carry out multiple eligible community development activities under one application. These funds provided urgent support as communities worked to prevent, prepare for and respond to the challenges of COVID-19. The application deadline for this program has closed and no additional applications are being accepted.
