Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Program provides federal funding for projects that aim to improve the quality of life for people with low or moderate incomes.
CDBG programs for low and moderate income residents are to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities. CDBG projects must align with national goals to qualify for funding, such as benefiting low- and moderate-income people or helping prevent urban blight and eliminating slums. Madison County Community Development oversees the federal funding program.
