Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) - Public Works Facilities is sponsored by State of Wisconsin. Offers funding for public works facilities, such as childcare centers, in Wisconsin.

CDBG - Public Facilities Program (PF) CDBG - Public Facilities Program (PF) ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Program Overview ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Public Facilities (PDF) funds help support infrastructure and facility projects for communities.

Grants are awarded to units of general local government and are limited to projects that meet a CDBG National Objective, including: addressing the needs of and primarily serving individuals with a low- to moderate-income (LMI) status; eliminating slum or blighted conditions; or addressing an urgent local need.

Examples of eligible projects include construction, expansion, or improvement of: water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer system improvements CDBG-PF funds are awarded through an annual competitive process. Application materials and submission instructions should be carefully reviewed prior to applying for CDBG-PF funds.

For each Grant Application received on or before the Application Submission Deadline, DOA reviews, scores, and​ ranks the Applications based on a pre-approved list of scoring criteria. Successful Applications must meet a CDBG National Objective (in accordance with HUD program regulations). Applications that earn enough points in the review process will be awarded State CDBG-PF funds.

Communities with successful applications (that have met the threshold requirements for funding) are announced and each community receives an award letter which documents the next steps required to accept & execute a Grant Agreement (i.e. contract) with the State of Wisconsin. Community grant administrators will be required to attend​ implementation training.

on Applicants seeking to qualify a project using income survey data to verify that the project will meet the low- and moderate-income (LMI) National Objective must already have a DEHCR-certified Income Survey Packet or must submit a completed Income Survey Packet to DEHCR no later than February 15th* of the year they are applying, unless another due date is specified in the application materials. Late submissions will not be considered.
