Program Contact: Timmothy Tibbs The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), provides communities with resources to address community development needs.

The CDBG Entitlement program distributes annual grants to help communities create better housing, improve living environments, and increase economic opportunities, especially for low- and moderate-income individuals.

First of two required public hearings to inform public to launch the planning process for the upcoming fiscal year’s CDBG funding cycle. Information will be provided to potential applicants about regulatory program components, and milestones. PY 26-27 Application Cycle The application period will start on January 27, 2026, and will close on February 27, 2026.

All applications are due by 5:00 pm on 2/27/2025. 30-day Public Comment Period 30-day public comment period for public input on the 2026 AAP will be open from March 30 to April 30. This final public hearing on April 30 is intended to gather the public's input on the completed Annual Action Plan and funding distribution for FY 2026-2027 before the final submission to HUD before May 15, 2026.
