By offering tailored resources and innovative programs that invest federal dollars alongside private sector capital, the CDFI Fund serves mission-driven financial institutions that take a market-based approach to supporting economically disadvantaged communities.
These mission-driven organizations are encouraged to apply for CDFI Certification and participate in CDFI Fund programs that inject new sources of capital into neighborhoods that lack access to financing. **Important Deadlines for CDE Certification and Subsidiary CDE Certification** Aug 07, 2026 : **Updates** CIMS5 Officially Launches Through AMIS Platform **New Version of CDFI Information Mapping System Now Live** The CDFI Fund is pleased to announce the official launch of the new version of the CDFI Information Mapping System (CIMS5), which is now accessible through the Awards Management Information System (AMIS).
CIMS5 replaces the former version, CIMS4, which has been retired and is no longer available. The redesigned CIMS5 continues to support organizations applying for CDFI or CDE Certification or award programs by allowing them to visually define eligible service areas and investments.
Aug 07, 2026 : **Updates** CDFI Fund Releases Summary Report and Public Data for NMTC Program for FYs 2003-2023 The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) today released a summary report and data collected on all New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) investments across the nation from fiscal year (FY) 2003 to FY 2023.
The CDFI Fund requires all Community Development Entities (CDEs) that have been awarded NMTC allocations to submit an annual report detailing how they invested Qualified Equity Investment (QEI) proceeds in Low-Income Communities.
