If your organization is making an impact near one of our sites, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply for Donation or Sponsorship Our organization is dedicated to making a positive difference in our communities We provide funding for environmental initiatives, energy-cost assistance programs education and workforce development, and addressing the needs of local communities. Together, we can create a sustainable future while empowering those around us.
We prioritize organizations that: • Have a measurable environmental impact • Provide energy-cost assistance to families in need • Advance education and workforce development • Directly benefit the communities where we operate To be eligible, your organization should: • Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit or equivalent (schools and government entities welcome) • Provide a valid Tax ID (EIN) and a completed W-9 • Serve a community connected to an Onward Energy site or region We are unable to fund individuals, for-profit businesses or personal fundraisers, political campaigns or partisan activity, or requests that create a conflict of interest.
We review donation requests twice each year to ensure we can thoughtfully invest in the communities where we operate. Requesting $1,000 or more? Apply during one of our two annual funding cycles: November 1 – February 1 → Awards distributed in March April 1 – August 1 → Awards distributed in September Requesting less than $1,000?
