To kickstart the kinds of opportunities youth need, LISC and the Foot Locker Foundation joined forces five years ago to launch the Foot Locker Foundation Community Empowerment Program, which funds nonprofit community organizations that deliver programs and services to connect youth to mentorship, education, career development, and health services.

The program was launched in 2020 as part of Foot Locker’s ongoing commitment to enhance the lives of their team members and the communities they serve. The Community Empowerment Program has invested $6. 4 million in 79 nonprofits serving more than 50,000 youth .

In addition, Foot Locker employees—known as “Stripers”—have contributed over 4,100 volunteer hours to nonprofits supported through the program, assisting with logistics and engaging directly with young people.
