USDA’s financial support enhances the competitiveness of our rural communities to attract and retain businesses that provide employment and services for residents. USDA’s Community Facilities Programs also fund building projects for public bodies, non-profit organizations, and federally-recognized American Indian Tribes to provide essential health care, education, public safety, and other civic services.

Examples include fire and rescue stations, health care facilities and rehab centers, adult and child care centers, assisted living facilities, town halls, schools, and libraries. Financing may also cover costs for land acquisition, professional fees, and equipment.

## Community Facilities Programs ### Community Facilities Direct Loans & Grants Fund the development of facilities that provide an essential public service to a rural community. ### Community Facilities Loan Guarantees Guarantee loans for eligible lenders to develop essential community facilities in rural areas.

### Community Facilities Technical Assistance and Training Grants Provide technical assistance and training grants to eligible public bodies and private nonprofit organizations and Tribes to support the development of essential community facilities. ### Rural Community Development Initiative Grants Assist non-profit housing and community development organizations, low-income rural communities and federally recognized tribes.
