Community Multiplier Program - Community First Bank of Indiana Community Multiplier Program Community First Bank Drives $220K in Funding for Local Affordable Housing Initiatives The Community Multiplier – Member Match Program is FHLBank Indianapolis’ newest program, designed to boost local support for affordable housing initiatives.

As a member financial institution, Community First Bank (CFB) utilized this program to secure $220,000 for nonprofits in Hamilton, Howard, and Marion Counties in 2025 — $200,000 in grants from FHLBank Indianapolis and $20,000 in matching donations from CFB. Kokomo Rescue Mission “This funding will allow us to keep sheltering the homeless, feeding the hungry, and ministering to the hurting. With over 100 people staying in one of our three shelters every night, 300 people counting on us for food each day, and roughly 3,000 individuals coming to us for extra assistance each year, the funding from this award will make a lasting impact in our community. Thank you!

” Bridges Outreach “The funding provided by this grant was a huge blessing. Specifically, this will allow us to grow our Bridges Homes program by helping renters become first-time homeowners! Funds will be used for homeownership training, remodeling and building new homes in Kokomo, and community development in the neighborhoods we serve.

Through hands-on learning, participants gain the tools to budget effectively, build savings, repair credit, and make informed financial decisions. These skills not only improve their immediate circumstances but also lay the foundation for long-term self-sufficiency and economic mobility.

The combined financial support from the FHLBank Indianapolis Community Multiplier program and the contribution from Community First Bank will be instrumental in advancing this mission through the strategic hiring of a dedicated Project Manager.

” Turning Point System of Care “The Recovery Cafe initiative is an inclusive, peer-supported program for adults in recovery from substance abuse and mental health challenges, many of whom also face housing instability.

The Cafe offers a safe, welcoming space where members receive case management, peer support, and access to essential services like mental health care, primary healthcare navigation, employment assistance, and substance use counseling.
