The Nantucket Fund Grants - Community Foundation for Nantucket The Nantucket Fund is the Community Foundation’s unrestricted funding source that provides community grants to the Island’s most critical needs and initiatives. Nantucket Fund grants are available to organizations with 501(c)(3) tax status, municipalities, or religious organizations that deliver programs and services to Nantucket residents.

To access the application, login on the site, and click Nantucket Fund Grants, then select the application. If multiple team members need to work on an application, there is a “collaborate” feature that allows multiple people to work on the same application.

All Applications should include the following : Completed Online Grant Application, including signed Acknowledgment Form Names and addresses of your current Board of Trustees Copy of the letter from the IRS granting 501(c) (3) tax status and any subsequent IRS letters relating to your organization’s status Copy of your most recent Form 990N, 990EZ, or 990 and complete financial statements in accordance with Commonwealth of Massachusetts requirements In addition, grant requests should: Propose practical ways to address community issues and challenges Leverage diverse sources of support (i.e. funds or volunteers) Stimulate community members to participate in addressing community challenges Assist nonprofit organizations in maximizing effective management Highlight cooperative efforts that minimize or eliminate duplication of service, and are sustainable over time.

Please submit all documentation through the online portal. If documents need to be emailed, applications must receive written confirmation of receipt from the grants administrator to be marked complete. The Community Foundation will award grants only to organizations that have met all the deadlines for project reporting, follow-up, and accountability for any previous grants from the Foundation.
