provide grants for community development, education, health, economic stability, youth services, and general operating support. Operating support enables nonprofits to sustain core mission work.

Grant Opportunities – Arizona Community Foundation The Arizona Community Foundation awards grants year-round to support nonprofits, educational institutions, tribal entities, government agencies, and most religious organizations.

To be eligible to apply for the grants listed below, your organization must belong to one of the following categories: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, school, faith-based organization, tribal entity, or government agency. Opens January 26, 2026 and closes February 20, 2026 Representatives from nonprofits, public schools, municipalities, and tribal entities serving residents of Yavapai County are invited to attend.

In order to apply for funding through the Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County's annual competitive grant cycle, a representative from your nonprofit needs to attend a mandatory grant application workshop. Download the grant guidelines for more information.

The First Baptist Church of Phoenix Foundation Opens January 1, 2026 and closes March 30, 2026 The First Baptist Church of Phoenix Foundation accepts proposals that plant a new church, educate and train planting pastors, fund mission and outreach projects, and support new churches in need.

Arizona Route 66 Grant Cycle Opens January 1, 2026 and closes March 15, 2026 ACF, in cooperation with the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona, is seeking applications from nonprofits, educational institutions, along with local, state, tribal, and government agencies in Arizona. Grants will be awarded to projects that aim to preserve, promote, and protect Route 66 in Arizona.

ACF will accept proposals that benefit and support preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation projects as well as planning, educational, and research projects that focus on Route 66 in Arizona.

The Kellenberger + Tollefson Center for LGBTQ Philanthropy Opens February 1, 2026 and closes March 16, 2026 The Kellenberger + Tollefson Center responds to statewide need through three program focus areas: 1) Youth: Foster an environment where every child can achieve happiness and live to their full potential, 2) Aging/Seniors: Ensure seniors are able to live free from discrimination and can age with dignity, and 3) Transgender People: Improve the well-being of transgender communities.

Opens January 29, 2026 and closes February 27, 2026 Fiesta Bowl Charities strives to enhance organizations that contribute to the success of their communities through youth, sports, and education. Organizations may submit ONE application to one of three funding opportunities: $50,000 (Touchdown Grant), $25,000 (Field Goal Grant), and $15,000 (Kickoff Grant). Amount requested must match dollar for dollar to the application selected.

The Arizona Community Foundation performs the due diligence to ensure grantees are qualified, viable organizations in good standing. Competitive grant applications are submitted online through the online grants portal during grant cycles.

Unique competitive grant opportunities are available annually statewide and in each of our six regions: Cochise and eastern Santa Cruz County, Flagstaff and northern Arizona, Graham and Greenlee counties, Sedona and the Verde Valley, Yavapai County, and Yuma and San Luis. Workshops are offered in each community to answer questions and assist applicants with their grant proposals.

Awarded throughout the year from our Field of Interest Funds and Funds for the Common Good, in alignment with our Philanthropic Agenda and community needs. Proposals are solicited and evaluated by ACF board members, regional boards of advisors, community leaders, staff, and subject-matter experts. ACF reviews grants recommended by our donors from their charitable funds and then makes distributions to qualified organizations.

These grants cannot be applied for and represent over half of ACF’s annual grant distributions.
