Community Grant Funds (Cobb Community Unrestricted Fund) is sponsored by Cobb Community Foundation. The Cobb Community Foundation's Community Grant Funds, specifically contributions to the Cobb Community Unrestricted Fund, are used to address pressing community needs and support innovative solutions, including programs like the Thrive Grant program.

Cobb Community Grant Funds - Cobb Foundation Cobb Community Grant Funds Most grants made through Cobb Community Foundation are advised by people and organizations who have created their own charitable funds with CCF.

However, our Community Grant Funds allow us, through the investment of donors like you and the guidance of community volunteers, to address the most pressing needs in our community and support the creation of innovative, transformative solutions.

When you support our community grantmaking, we leverage your contribution with those of other donors to directly and responsively meet our region’s greatest needs through grantmaking that is informed and responsive. Contributions to our Cobb Community Unrestricted Fund can be put back into the community at any time and most recently made possible our Thrive Grant program.

This fund has also provided support for certain community initiatives like the establishment of Circles Cobb , an evidence-based poverty reduction program, and early learning programs in areas where they are most needed. Alternatively, contributions to our Cobb Community Impact Endowment fuel the community investment of Cobb Community Foundation in perpetuity to ensure strategic, responsive grantmaking for generations to come.

Much of our work has been guided by our 2019 assessment of Cobb’s needs performed by Georgia Center for Nonprofits. The assessment not only mapped community needs by census tract, it also mapped locations of nonprofits, provided us a view of gaps as well as overlaps. This information was particularly valuable as we deployed over $400,000 in grants from our Cobb COVID-19 Community Response Fund.

We are now focused on addressing the most critical needs of our community as identified in the assessment and have begun with helping those organizations serving our most vulnerable populations to be able to do even more.
