We are building a clean energy future by empowering the next generation of leaders. Through our commitment to education, we provide students opportunities to develop their talents that help build a brighter tomorrow.

We look for education programs that emphasize science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) from kindergarten to college, including enrichment programs, scholarships, college access initiatives, as well as career and technical education programs. We partner with nonprofits whose passion and expertise drive meaningful change to address our region's most pressing issues - from improving Southern California's air quality and conserving green spaces, to restoring habitats and expanding access to green jobs and clean energy solutions. Natural disasters can strike without warning, from earthquakes to wildfires that threaten lives and communities. By working together to prepare for the unexpected, we can build resilient communities that can withstand and recover even the toughest storm.

Edison partners with organizations to advance electrical safety, emergency preparedness and wildfire mitigation, ensuring families - especially those most at risk - have the tools to stay safe and strong in the face of a natural or manmade disaster. We believe the transformation to a clean energy future depends on the strength of our team, empowered communities and a vibrant society where all people can thrive.

To reflect our values, we partner with organizations rooted in community advocacy and empowerment supporting workforce development, career pathways, professional and civic engagement leadership, youth mentoring, and capacity building for local nonprofits. Strong communities depend on trusted relationships, civic engagement and the capacity to respond to unforeseen challenges.

Through this focus area, we support initiatives that strengthen community connections, encourage employee engagement and help communities recover from and prepare for disruptions. We also maintain flexibility to address emerging needs and priority issues affecting the communities we serve.
