Community Grant

Community Grant is sponsored by Starved Rock Country Community Foundation. Provides financial support to nonprofit organizations, schools, libraries, and community groups in LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam counties to foster positive community impact.

Thank you for your interest in applying for a Community Grant. Grant applications are accepted all year. We review and evaluate grant applications at the end of every quarter.

Successful applicants will be notified within four weeks after the end of the quarter. Non-Profit Organizations: Grants are available to non-profit organizations throughout LaSalle, Bureau, and Putnam Counties.

Proof of non-profit status is required, and a copy of your 501(c)3 letter from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) must be attached to your grant application Schools, Libraries, Community Groups: Grants must be used for charitable purposes that serve a broad range of the community at large. Any grant dollars not utilized for the stated purpose must be returned. Grant checks will be released upon approval of the application.

Grant awards are subject to availability of funds and the impact the program, project or initiative will have in the community. This is a competitive grant opportunity and applications will be evaluated by the Board of Directors of the SRCCF. You may be contacted by a Board Member for more information and/or a visit to your organization.

Final Reports may be required. If so, your final report is due to the SRCCF office no later than 60 days after the completion of the project, event, or initiative. No additional awards will be granted unless the final report for an existing grant is received.

The community grant allows Dana PD to comply with a Jan. 1, 2025, state mandate requiring that police carry body cams on any police matter including traffic stops, ordinance violations or interviews.

Streator Family YMCA receives $1,000 community grant from SRCCF The Streator Family YMCA recently received a $1,000 community grant for its “Rock Steady Boxing to Fight Parkinson’s Disease” program from the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation. Starved Rock Country Community Foundation (SRCCF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization as designated by the IRS and the state of Illinois.
