Community Grants is sponsored by Forsyth County, Georgia. Forsyth County provides funding to non-profit agencies that offer community services to County residents. These grants are for a period of one year and align with County policies and goals in areas such as safety, health, education, and culture.

Established in 2015 as an affiliate of the North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF), the Forsyth County Community Foundation (FCCF) exists to connect local generosity with the nonprofits serving Forsyth County—ensuring that charitable giving stays rooted in the community it supports.

A Pivotal Moment for Forsyth County: Launching First-Ever Grant Cycle In 2025, FCCF received a transformational $2 million investment—made possible by a $1 million commitment from NGCF and a dollar-for-dollar match by longtime Forsyth County philanthropist Tommy Bagwell—strengthening the FCCF Community Grant Endowment Fund and launching FCCF’s first-ever community grant cycle.

Applicants may continue to access the Grant Application Portal for their records, but no award decisions or status updates will be available in the portal until announcements are made.

Learn more about FCCF Community Grants Application & Eligibility The following information pertains to the 2026 FCCF Community Grant Application Please read all the information before accessing the grant portal (link is found below) Grant applications from $500 up to $5,000 will be considered. Any request for more than maximum amount will be disqualified.

Award amounts are at the discretion of the committee, and you are not guaranteed an award amount equal to your requested amount. Qualified applicants will be able to apply for an operational or programmatic grant (see descriptions below). You are only eligible to apply for one type of grant.

Each organization can only submit one grant application. The 2026 Application Cycle closed on April 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM . Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Eligibility requirements: To be eligible for a FCCF Community Grant, organizations must: Be a 501(c)(3) public charity in good standing and located in Forsyth County, Georgia. Prior FCCF grant recipients may reapply in subsequent years; previous awards may be considered during review.

FCCF grant recipients remain eligible to apply for other NGCF Grants programs in the same year, including, Community Grants, Opportunity Grants, and fundholder-directed grant cycles. FCCF offers two types of Community Grants that eligible nonprofits can apply for. Program Grants support specific programs or projects.

Applicants must submit a completed application and a detailed program budget. Grant recipients are required to submit a final report detailing the use of funds. Operational Grants provide unrestricted funding to support general operation needs.

The Forsyth County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Georgia Community Foundation and is guided by a local advisory board of community leaders representing a cross-section of public interests in Forsyth County. The advisory board provides local insight and leadership; grant decisions are administered through NGCF’s established grantmaking process.
