Community Grants Program (Education focus) is sponsored by Santa Fe Community Foundation. Education grants support organizations working to improve school readiness, reading proficiency, math proficiency, high school graduation rates, and/or opportunity youth engagement.

Our fall grant cycle is now open Education philanthropy at the Foundation The Santa Fe Community Foundation is committed to supporting local students with their learning and career readiness. Our educational opportunities focus on direct support to Santa Fe Public School classrooms and teachers as well as scholarship funds for students on their pathway to college.

Direct support for Santa Fe Public Schools Dollars4Schools, an initiative of the Santa Fe Community Foundation since 2013, is a web-based funding resource for Santa Fe's public and charter school teachers. Dollars4Schools is 100% committed to student success and classroom support. Our unique grassroots structure provides teachers with a local "helping-hand."

From funding teachers directly for classroom programs to providing students with school supplies, backpacks and winter coats, Dollars4schools connects community and classrooms every day in Santa Fe. Scholarship opportunities The Santa Fe Community Foundation is proud to be the home of three scholarship funds, all designed to support local students in pursuing advanced degrees.

Scholarship applications for the 2026-27 school year are now closed. Decisions will be announced in July and awards mailed to schools in August. Michael S.

Currier Scholarship Fund The Michael S. Currier Scholarship Fund was established at the Santa Fe Community Foundation in 2000 to honor the memory of rancher and philanthropist Michael S. Currier.

This fund provides renewable scholarships to students in northern New Mexico pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited institution. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3. 5 and should demonstrate exceptional talent, innovative thinking and/or creativity in a specific field of study.

Scholarships are paid to the educational institution in the student’s name to subsidize the costs of tuition, fees, books, and education-related expenses. Students of all income levels are welcome to apply; priority is given to students from low and middle-income backgrounds. Since its establishment, the Michael S.

Currier Scholarship Fund has granted nearly $3 million dollars in scholarship funds. Sussman-Miller Educational Assistance Fund The Sussman-Miller Educational Assistance Fund was established to provide financial assistance to high achieving full time students pursuing an undergraduate degree.

Applicants should be eligible to receive federal financial aid and be attending or plan to attend a college or university in the United States and have a minimum GPA of 3. 5.

Applicants must demonstrate a ‘gap’ of financial need: the comprehensive costs of the college or university they will attend less the total of their student aid index (SAI), plus the financial aid and scholarships received from the college and university and any other scholarships received from other sources. Scholarships are renewable annually for up to four years / eight semesters of study.

Students demonstrating the highest financial need are given priority consideration.

Las Campanas Community Scholarship Fund Powered by philanthropic donors from the community itself who desire to support their surrounding neighbors and employers, the Las Campanas Community Scholarship Fund at Santa Fe Community Foundation was established to provide financial assistance to full- and part-time students pursuing a certificate, undergraduate, or graduate program.

Applicants must live or work in, or have a parent who lives or works in, 87506 or 87507 zip codes. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA over 2. 49 and submit an application, including an essay detailing their desire to pursue higher education.

The aid is made in the form of grant dollars sent directly to the students’ colleges or universities. Students are welcome to reapply each academic year. Dollars4Schools: Responding to the Needs of Local Teachers & Students A range of local community-led philanthropic initiatives are contributing to school betterment and student well-being.
