The PREA Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2025 Community Grants Program, through which the Foundation awarded more than $150,000 in one-time grants to 22 student-led organizations at colleges and universities across the country. Launched in 2025, the Community Grants Program was designed to support student-led initiatives that expand awareness of and access to careers in the commercial real estate (CRE) industry.
The program reflects the Foundation’s continued focus on strengthening the early talent pipeline and increasing exposure to CRE across campus communities nationwide.
The Community Grants Program was developed by the Community Grants Design Committee—comprised of Melinda Ellis Evers, Kimberly Adams, Christina Scarlato, and Ellen Young—which established the program’s structure, eligibility criteria, and application review process.
Community Grants Design Committee The Design Committee also identified and selected the pilot-year Community Grants Program (CGP) Committee, ensuring representation from a diverse cross-section of PREA stakeholders. This Program Committee of 10 industry professionals generously dedicated their time and expertise to review applications and select grant recipients.

This program was made possible through the generous support of PREA Foundation Donors.
