PFund Community Grants – PFund Foundation PFund Community Grants are for LGBTQ+ serving nonprofits in the Upper Midwest. These grants range from $1,000-$20,000+ and include organizational membership to the PFund Leadership Institute, a monthly cohort based learning and networking opportunity. We’re making it easier to get support from PFund so that our nonprofit partners can focus on their missions.
Starting in 2026 PFund will be simplify our grants process with: A single application for all of our program grant funds (PRISM, TRANScend, Bi+ Funds), modeled after the Minnesota Common Grant Application A single award letter, payment and report for all PFund grant funds received In addition to general operating dollars, PFund will expand support beyond the dollar with: Access to the PFund Leadership Institute to build the capacity of your organization and teams to deliver your mission.
The institute will consist of monthly learning sessions from LGBTQ+ experts on chronic and emerging challenges and topics. A cohort of nonprofit leaders to collaborate and connect with Applications for PFund Community Grants will open on November 3, 2025 and will be due by January 21, 2026. Applications will go through our Community Grant Review process in February.
Grant Payments will be distributed and programming will begin in March. To apply for a PFund Community grant, organizations must meet the following qualifications: Align with PFund’s Mission and Vision. Primarily serve LGBTQ+ populations in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and/or the Native Nations therein.
Been in operation at least 1-year as of September 1st, 2025. Be registered as 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the IRS. Informal groups with a nonprofit organization serving as a fiscal sponsor are also eligible to apply.
