NEW: Community Grants – Open Food Facts blog Community is at the heart of Open Food Facts. The project that benefits millions of people across the world relies greatly on the effort of passionate contributors, volunteering their time and skills to grow the food database each and every day !
Brainstorming at the annual community days (2023) One of the goals of Open Food Facts is to see communities thrive to promote food transparency in many countries at a local level. Why ? Because local communities understand their citizens, culture, socio-economic context, traditions and of course speak the local language.
Many great conversations and initiatives are born in smaller groups too. To support and facilitate the creation of local communities or activities, Open Food Facts is introducing: THE COMMUNITY GRANTS ! There are two types of grants: Rapid grants & Project grants.
What ? A grant to support a punctual action to promote the Open Food Facts project (eg. community event) 📤 What is funded ?
Expenses only. Organisation with legal existence ⏳ When to apply ? Any time.
