Engage with your Community Community Impact Funds Grant Award Listing 2025 Total Grants: $140,000 Foundation For The Carolinas has announced grants totaling $140,000 to nonprofits addressing local needs across the foundation’s 13-county region.

Grants were awarded from FFTC’s Community Impact Funds , which support broad charitable interest areas throughout the region – such as education, human services, arts, animal welfare, environmental causes and unexpected community needs. Funding is made possible by donors who contribute to these funds, and grants are awarded to nonprofits by FFTC’s team of grantmaking experts along with input from community members.

$10,000 to Washington Outreach Ministry in Cleveland County, N. C. , in response to cuts to The Emergency Food Assistance Program.

$10,000 to Christian Ministry of Lincoln County in response to reductions in SNAP benefits. $10,000 to The Salvation Army of Cherokee County to address a surge in demand for nutritious meals. $10,000 from the FFTC Health & Human Services Fund to Opportunity House to meet the survival needs of the homeless, such as meals, showers, clothing and access to a nurse.

$20,000 from the FFTC Health & Human Services Fund to The S. T. U.

to provide emergency housing for students and families within the Cabarrus County school system. $20,000 from the FFTC Animal Welfare Fund to Lake Norman Humane to build a low-cost spay and neuter clinic, ultimately reducing the rate of euthanasia for adoptable animals. $5,000 from the FFTC Education and Youth Development Fund to Aspire Youth and Family to provide hands-on culinary arts training to at-risk youth.

$15,000 from the FFTC Education and Youth Development Fund to Stanly County Partnership for Children to conduct a needs assessment to guide future programs and services. $10,000 from the FFTC Arts & Culture Fund to Lanti Foundation for its Curtains Up, Community In program, that brings live theatre and music to Union County, ensuring all children and families can experience the performing arts.

$10,000 from the FFTC Arts & Culture Fund to Union County Playmakers to support their production of A Charlie Brown Christmas with a local, bilingual cast. $20,000 from the FFTC Environmental Sustainability Fund to Nation Ford Land Trust to assess and repair damage from Hurricane Helene across its properties, trails, habitats and waterways.

2024 Total Grants: $184,000 $75,000 to support recovery from Hurricane Helene $29,000 from the FFTC Environmental Sustainability Fund to Cherokee Soil & Water Conservation District to provide low-cost “no till drill” rentals to landowners and farmers to foster conservation.

$10,000 from the FFTC Health & Human Services Fund to the United Way of Cleveland County to provide essential classroom supplies for teachers, holiday gifts and meals to families in need, shoes for children in need of footwear, and home libraries for school-age children.

$10,000 from the FFTC Health & Human Services Fund to Mental Health America of Cleveland County for a youth suicide prevention program and support for students facing mental health and behavioral challenges. $20,000 from the FFTC Arts & Culture Fund to the Lexington Youth Theatre to pay professional artists and provide an affordable Broadway experience to local residents, as well as new headset microphones for performers.

$20,000 from the FFTC Education and Youth Fund to the Children’s Council for “Baby Blocks,” which fosters prenatal and early childhood development, as well as to provide books and 92 home visits from an early learning specialist. $10,000 from the FFTC Animal Welfare Fund to Helping Animals to Survive to provide financial assistance for veterinary care.

$10,000 from the FFTC Animal Welfare Fund to Lincoln County Animal Services to support pet adoptions, rescue transfers, fostering programs and clinics.
