Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley Announces 2026 Community Impact Grant Recipients - CFOV Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley Announces 2026 Community Impact Grant Recipients POSTED ON February 16, 2026 WHEELING, W. Va.
— The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley (CFOV) is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Community Impact Grants, awarding a total of $71,880 to support 11 nonprofit programs and services strengthening communities across the Ohio Valley. Made possible through the generosity of CFOV donors, Community Impact Grants provide flexible, responsive funding to address evolving local needs.
This year’s funded projects focus on improving physical and mental health, supporting youth and families, developing future leaders, expanding recreation opportunities, and strengthening economic and social stability throughout the region. “The Community Foundation’s Community Impact Grants allow us to respond directly to what our communities need most,” says CFOV Executive Director Susie Nelson.
“We are grateful to the donors who make this funding possible and to the organizations doing the work every day to improve lives across the Ohio Valley. These projects reflect both compassion and collaboration, and we’re excited to see the positive change they will create.
” 2026 Community Impact Grant Recipients Belmont County Court of Common Pleas Juvenile Division Probation Department – CrossFit for Change/CCAP Programs to Promote Physical and Mental Health – $7,480 CASA for Children – CASA Home Visitation – $7,500 Catholic Charities West Virginia – Relatives as Parents Program – $7,500 Children’s Home of Wheeling, Inc. – Stabilizing Youth in Crisis to Protect Family and Economic Stability – $7,500 City of Steubenville Parks and Recreation – Steubenville Mobile Recreation Program – $4,000 Hancock and Brooke Young Professionals – Young Professionals Mentor Program Development – $3,400 Laughlin Community Center – Energy Express – $7,500 Ohio Valley Youth Network – Sycamore After School Enrichment – $7,500 Upper Ohio Valley Sexual Assault Help Center, Inc. – Empower & Thrive Assistance Program – $7,000 WVU Foundation Inc. – Community Leaders of the Ohio Valley Empowering Resources (CLOVER): Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today – $7,500 Youth Services System, Inc. – Youth Mentoring Network – $5,000 Through its grant making programs, CFOV continues to invest in projects and solutions that strengthen the Ohio Valley today while building opportunity for the future.

Nike Community Impact Fund is a grant from Nike, Inc. that powers youth sport and play in communities surrounding Nike employee locations across North America and Europe. The program invests in local nonprofit organizations driving positive, lasting change by making sport and active play accessible to all youth. What makes this fund distinctive is its employee-led design: Nike teammates volunteer on local grant review committees, using their neighborhood knowledge to select recipients. Organizations can apply each January for grants distributed by May. Eligible cities span the Netherlands, Belgium, and multiple U.S. metropolitan areas including Portland, Oregon; St. Louis, Missouri; and Memphis, Tennessee. Youth-focused nonprofits working to remove barriers to sports participation are encouraged to apply.
Rural Community Impact Grant is a grant from Heartland United Way that funds local nonprofit programs serving residents of Hamilton, Howard, Merrick, and rural Hall Counties in Nebraska. Rooted in the long-standing tradition of rural Nebraskans helping one another, the program distributes up to $30,000 annually across four priority areas: Healthy Communities, Youth Opportunity, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency. Only one application per organization is accepted. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits located in and serving the designated counties. Individual grants range from $250 to $1,500, with awards announced in April 2026.
