Community Impact Grants – LaGrange County Community Foundation Community Impact Grants help nonprofits to be more effective, efficient and self-sustaining. Income from the Foundation’s unrestricted funds are awarded through the Community Impact Grant program. The Foundation seeks to fund innovative or creative projects with significant impact on the community served by the nonprofit.
Grantmaking Areas of Interest Nonprofit organizations serving LaGrange County are eligible to apply in six areas of interest: We fund nonprofit organizations serving LaGrange County. Requests for nonprofits headquartered outside of LaGrange County may be approved if most people benefiting from the grant funds reside in LaGrange County.
We do not fund individuals, organizations with outstanding grant reports due to LCCF, or organizations that do not serve LaGrange County. We generally favor requests that promote cooperation and avoid duplication of services, reach a broad segment of the community or provide services normally not provided.
The Foundation welcomes grant applications between $5,000 and $25,000 from nonprofit organizations which benefit LaGrange County, or its citizens.
Priority is given to requests which: Reach a broad segment of the community Promote cooperation and avoid duplication of services Request seed money for exciting and innovative ways to meet unmet needs Provide services that are normally not provided Inspire and encourage additional funding Help make charitable organizations more effective, efficient and self-sustaining The Foundation has an online grant application process.

We recommend you have them easily available in PDF format: Project/Program Budget with expected revenue & expenses List of organization’s current Board of Directors Copy of your organization’s 501 (c)(3) determination letter Applications must be submitted through our online process by the deadline. Community Impact Grants are awarded based on a competitive grant application process.
The Community Foundation will have three application cycles for Community Impact Grants in 2026: Cycle 1: Deadline February 26 with notification in April Cycle 2: Deadline June 26 with notification in August Cycle 3: Deadline September 25 with notification in November Grant seekers should discuss their requests with the Program Director to discuss funding needs before applying. Sample documentation is available by request.
