Freeport-McMoRan Foundation 2026 Grant Programs Flyer Rather than viewing financial and other resources simply as charitable donations or philanthropy, we encourage our partners to think about financial and other resources as the means to make investments in the future of the community with the goal of realizing a return that helps create greater capacity and long-term sustainability.
Only IRS determined tax exempt entities such as nonprofits with a federal 501(c)3 designation, schools and government institutions are eligible to receive funding from the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation. Please note, the maximum indirect cost allowed by the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation is 6% of direct project costs.
Ajo - Bisbee - Jerome/Clarkdale Climax (Lake, Summit, Chaffee and Eagle Counties) Henderson (Grand and Clear Creek Counties) Community Investment Fund Your program or project must directly benefit those living in the communities outlined below. Requests should be for more than $20,000. Requests for less than $20,000 may be eligible for funding from one of our site operations.
The Foundation is not currently accepting new applications from organizations whose service area is solely Maricopa County. Your organization must serve people residing in one or more of the eligible rural communities below and have an ACTIVE presence that benefits the local community as a whole. Any applications that do not meet this criteria and definition will be declined at this time.

2026 Community Investment Fund Application Dates May 13: Application Opens in CyberGrants June 26: Application Closes at 5pm (Arizona time) November 20: Approvals and declines sent There is an established Community Investment Committee (CIC) in each of the communities where Freeport-McMoRan and Climax Molybdenum has operations. The CICs will meet to score applications and hold applicant interviews between August and October.
If your application is approved, you will be invited to submit a forecast of your project’s impact in the True Impact system. The Homeless Youth Program is a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services that funds services for homeless and at-risk youth across Illinois.
