Community Investment Grant (Food, Water, and Local Community) is sponsored by The Mosaic Company Foundation. This grant aims to create a lasting impact in communities by supporting initiatives in three key areas: Food, Water, and Local Community. It addresses food security, promotes water conservation, and enhances community sustainability.

And because of this, we strive to be a thoughtful and engaged neighbor who invests carefully and generously through long-term partnerships with organizations that are making a difference. We are proud to support organizations and initiatives that create growth and leave a lasting impact in our communities in three main focus areas: Food, Water and Local Community. Each year, we invest an average of $12 million.

The Mosaic Company, The Mosaic Company Foundation and The Mosaic Institute in Brazil provide support through philanthropic grant-making, employee matching opportunities, in-kind products and services contributions, and volunteerism, including pro-bono skills-based technical assistance and functional-specific services.

Our companywide community investments are focused in three areas: Food: Mosaic is committed to supporting organizations that advance global agricultural development, agricultural research and education, and hunger relief for community members in need.

Some examples of our efforts are: The Mosaic Villages Project in India; micronutrient deficiency research; and local community food drives, food distribution trucks and school backpack programs. Water: Mosaic supports organizations that work in watershed restoration, habitat conservation and nutrient stewardship.

These programs, respectively, include shoreline restoration and oyster reef installations; improved land management practices and wildlife protection; and 4R nutrient stewardship, which is best management practices for fertilizer application, minimizing nutrient runoff to improve water quality and optimizing crop yields.

Local: We support philanthropic and civic partnerships that enrich the long-term strength of the communities in which we operate. These programs include local schools, health and social service agencies, museums, special projects and sponsorship of events and disaster relief. Mosaic’s mission—and the purpose behind all we do—is to help the world grow the food it needs.

We have a responsibility to contribute positively to global food security through agricultural productivity, 4R Nutrient Stewardship, and community support.
