Community Investment Grants (United Way of Charlotte County) is sponsored by United Way of Charlotte County. United Way of Charlotte County administers grant funding to organizations serving Charlotte County, Florida, with a focus on building strong households and neighborhoods and addressing the needs of ALICE (Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed) individuals and families.

org PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – United Way Charlotte County (UWCC) announces the opening of its 2026–2028 Community Investment Grant Cycle, which includes funding administered on behalf of the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). Funding will be awarded to nonprofit partner agencies providing programs that address the root causes of financial instability and support individuals and families in achieving long-term stability.

Programs serving ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households in Charlotte County are a key focus of United Way Charlotte County’s community investment strategy. Eligible programs must align with United Way Charlotte County’s strategic priority areas and demonstrate measurable outcomes, strong financial stewardship, and the ability to meet reporting and accountability requirements.

Priority areas include Basic Needs, Educational Success, Financial Empowerment, Seniors, and Communication & Navigation. To be eligible to apply for BOCC funding, attendance at the All-Agency Grant Workshop is mandatory. Attendance at the All-Agency Grant Workshop is mandatory for agencies seeking BOCC funding.

The workshop will be held on March 11, 2026, from 9:00 a. m. to 11:00 a.

m. at the CDBIA Building at 17984 Toledo Blade Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Completion of an Intent to Apply form is required and will be made available March 11, 2026, immediately following the workshop.

2026–2028 Community Investment Grant Guidelines and application materials will be also be available online following the workshop.
