We roll up our sleeves to support our communities through ARC Days of Caring, fundraising campaigns and events. We support our employees in making meaningful contributions to the community causes they care about most. Through our Donation Matching Program, employees can donate up to $500 each year to thousands of Canadian causes and receive a company match to double the impact.

To be eligible to receive funding from ARC, your organization should: Be located in or serving an ARC community Have a registered charity number or be an established non-profit community organization Be in sound financial condition Limitations and exclusions Except in special circumstances, donations will not be made to the following: Programs outside of the regions or communities where ARC does business Political organizations or advocacy groups Organizations supporting international, foreign affairs and national security Government and public administration Professional development organizations, industry/trade associations Submit an application to receive support for community initiatives that align with our areas of focus.

25 million to Energy Wing Expansion at Ronald McDonald House to provide rural families a home-away-from-home while their child receives pediatric medical care. Each year, we support the local food banks across our areas of operation to help address critical food insecurity. Our support includes donations and regular volunteer shifts.

ARC employees have volunteered at the Calgary Food Bank every month for more than 20 years. We are proud to announce a donation of $1 million to Northwestern Polytechnic. This contribution will launch a Bachelor of Engineering transfer program, allowing students to start their education locally and secure a spot at the University of Alberta to finish their degree.

Community is one of our core values. In Dawson Creek, our northeast BC team demonstrated their design and craftsmanship skills with an entry into the community parade celebrating 100 years of the Dawson Creek Exhibition. A group of ARC employees in Valleyview, Alberta, rolled up their sleeves and volunteered their time and equipment to upgrade the playground at the local primary school.

Following the devastating floods that occurred in BC in November 2021, we donated funds to Canadian Red Cross and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau's Toy Drive to support families impacted by the floods.

For years, our team in Kakwa has articipated in the Province of Alberta’s Transportation Highway Clean-up Program – an initiative that brings community members together to collect litter along the highway and in the community, and raise funds for good causes. In 2021, employees and their families volunteered their time and cleaned up a 13 kilometre stretch of Highway 40 just outside of Grande Prairie.

In collaboration with CDN Controls, we contributed to the Emerging Leaders Program for Alberta’s Indigenous Communities. In the program, participants learn from industry leaders and academia through engaging panel discussions and workshops to grow leadership skills. The program's focus is to provide participants with the skills needed for promotion into supervisory and leadership roles.

Connection to the community and social engagement is critical in the overall well-being of seniors. For seven years, our team in northeast BC has partnered with Better at Home to host seniors at the Dawson Creek Exhibition. In 2022, 86 seniors joined us for dinner and a tour to the chuckwagon races.

The Better at Home program, run by South Peace Community Resources Society, provides seniors with home support services such as snow removal, grocery shopping, housekeeping and friendly visits. Through the Wood for Warmth program, we donated firewood to an Indigenous community near our Kakwa operations. Loads of wood were delivered directly to the community, where they were split into smaller bundles to heat homes.

Through volunteerism and funding, ARC is stepping up to tackle food insecurity in Calgary's kids. Our partnership with BB4CK goes back to 2007. To date, ARC volunteers have helped create ~190,000 lunches and logged 3,800 hours.
