Community Investment Program is sponsored by Cedar LNG. Cedar LNG's program offers grants to not-for-profit and charitable organizations delivering programs and services for the benefit of Indigenous Nations and local communities.

Community Investment Program – Cedar LNG Community Investment Program Giving back to the community is a fundamental value for Cedar LNG. Through our Community Investment Program, grants are available for not-for-profit and charitable organizations that deliver programs and services for the benefit of the Haisla Nation, neighbouring Indigenous Nations, and local communities.

With a focus on supporting opportunities to improve safety, equality, and inclusion within communities, advance Indigenous Reconciliation, and drive environmental sustainability, we aim to support the growth of sustainable communities for the long term. To apply for a Cedar LNG Community Investment Program grant, please review our program criteria below and fill out our online application .

Cedar LNG partners with Indigenous neighbours, non-profit and charitable organizations that are based in, or support, the communities where we work. We focus our investments on organizations that improve access to education, protect or preserve the environment, promote safety, create community space, and encourage wellness. Strong Indigenous Communities Our goal: To work alongside Indigenous communities to promote Indigenous values, support spiritual, social, and economic well-being, and advance Reconciliation and self-determination.

This includes: Supporting culture-based and cross-cultural programs/services Improving health and wellness and increasing access to education Building local capacity for business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders Safe, Inclusive and Connected Communities Our goal: Communities are safe, inclusive places where all members have equal access to opportunities, services and spaces that foster a strong sense of belonging.

Thriving local economies give everyone an equal opportunity to succeed.

This includes: Understanding and reducing barriers that prevent diverse and inclusive local economies Ensuring everyone can reach their full potential through skills training and capacity building Developing a diverse workforce that is representative of the communities where we live and work Ensuring first responders, hospitals, and mental health providers have the resources they need Creating or renovating community spaces that are accessible for all Our goal: For communities, government, and industry to work together and protect the natural environment for future generations.

Citizens benefit from a sustainability-driven economy that improves energy and environmental outcomes and contributes to local economic prosperity.

This includes: Protecting and conserving land, water, air, and wildlife Ensuring communities have access to education, training, and capacity building programs focused on sustainability and the energy transition Supporting community energy initiatives that embody new ways of thinking about and acting on energy opportunities, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, and clean energy technologies Providing support to people and/or organizations leading innovative decarbonization projects and initiatives The Cedar LNG Community Investment Program aims to benefit the following communities located near the proposed project area.

The following types of organizations/programs are not eligible for the program: Political organizations and candidates Religious or sectarian organizations that are for the benefit of the membership community only Third-party fundraisers or professional solicitors Advocacy or special interest groups Service clubs and fraternal organizations Private clubs funded through membership fees Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, family status or disability Specific health conditions, diseases or illnesses Events and activities that take place outside of our operating communities Organizations that advocate a particular social, moral, religious or political point of view
